| This is a chair I constructed. We photographed it while I was training one of my students on shooting 3D objects. |
| We shot this knife during a demo. We didn't set up special lights, just the NorthLights.
Since I live in Texas and enjoy Texas history I really enjoyed
seeing this knife, I had a distant uncle who was killed at the
Massacre of Goliad....who knows, this knife might of been his. |
| This map was set up for a demo also. This map
is dated 1861. Abilene is in Taylor county just a few miles
south of Ft. Phantom Hill. Abilene was founded about 20 years
after this map was published. We made the decision to shoot
through the mylar for almost all our maps. The primary reason
we are digitizing them is for the data on the map which is readable
through the mylar. The powers that be decided that the
scratches, finger prints, etc. on the mylar were the lesser of the
evils when one considers the time required to take 1000 maps out of
mylar and put them back in plus the potential for damage. I am
not sure we would have put the focus card on this map if it had of
been out of the mylar. |
| We shot an entire Torah that is 300-400 years old.
I just noticed that this photo is upside down....I think.
|
| This sword was shot at the same time we did the knife, during the same demo.
I did a little quick and dirty PhotoShop work taking out the
supporting magnets during the demo...by no means a perfect job.
Again no special lights, I did set up a white surface to make the
blade reflect more white instead of black. |
